Why Australian businesses choose us

An SEO agency for Australia that answers while you're still at your desk

Australian agency retainers typically average A$2,000–A$3,500 a month, and a fair slice of that pays for offices, not SEO. Cheap offshore SEO trades the overheads for overnight lag and templated work. We built the third option.

Ask a question at 10am in Sydney and we are at our desks. Book a call any weekday morning or afternoon and it lands in business hours for both sides. Senior strategy, execution and reporting come from one named team — the same team Australian agencies quietly rely on for white label SEO fulfilment — at a price that reflects where the work is done, not where the boardroom is.

Ecommerce brands

Category, product and content SEO for brands fighting Amazon AU, marketplaces and big-box retail on google.com.au — the niche where our published AU results come from.

SaaS & platforms

Comparison and feature-page strategy plus authority building for competitive Australian software terms.

Service businesses

Service, suburb and location page strategy for firms that win work through enquiries across Australian cities.

Australian agencies

White label delivery under your brand: strategy, execution, QA and client-ready reporting.

What we deliver

Search engine optimisation services built for the Australian market

SEO services cover everything required to grow qualified Google traffic: technical health, content, on-page relevance, authority and measurement. Here is how we deliver each one for Australian sites.

SEO audits

Technical, content and authority diagnosis against your real Australian competitors, with fixes ranked by commercial impact.

Keyword research

AU search demand mapped to pages — including the regional phrasing and intent differences that generic tools miss.

Technical SEO

Crawlability, indexation, site speed, schema and structure — the foundations google.com.au rankings are built on.

On-page SEO

Titles, internal linking and page structure tuned to what actually ranks in Australian results for your terms.

Content SEO

Australian-English content mapped to local demand — human-edited, and planned around southern-hemisphere seasons, not a northern publishing calendar.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile, AU citations and suburb-level pages for trades and service-area businesses that live on enquiries.

Link building

Relevance-led links from Australian publications, directories and industry sites. No spam packages, ever.

AI Search Optimization

Entity clarity and answer-ready structure so Australian buyers find you in AI Overviews and ChatGPT, not just blue links.

Website migrations

Replatforming or moving to .com.au without torching the rankings you have already earned.

How it works

Your first 90 days, run on Australian hours

No mystery-box retainers. Here is what actually happens — and because Manila sits two to three hours behind the east coast, work briefed in your Sydney morning comes back the same working day.

01

Days 1–14 · Audit & research

Full technical, content and authority audit against named Australian competitors. GA4 and Search Console access, AU keyword research, and a quick-wins list you could act on even without us.

02

Weeks 3–6 · Strategy & fixes

Strategy signed off on a call in AEST hours. Priority technical fixes shipped, page targets locked, first content briefs written in Australian English.

03

Months 2–3 · Build

Content production, on-page rebuilds and AU-relevant link outreach running in parallel. Impressions usually move first — we show you that in the data, not in adjectives.

04

Months 4–6 · Compound

Authority and content start stacking. This is the window where Speediance Australia went +66% on clicks. We double down on what the data says is working.

Every month after that

Senior strategy time, technical monitoring, content, links — plus a plain-English report from GA4, Search Console and SE Ranking, tracked in our SEO Command Centre, and a call booked in AEST business hours. Every report says what we did, what moved and what happens next.

Pricing, out in the open

How much does SEO cost in Australia?

Most agencies hide this behind "get a custom quote". Here is what the Australian market typically charges — so you can judge any proposal, including ours, against it.

Local & single-location

A$400–A$1,500 / month

Typical small business SEO range for tradies, clinics and single-suburb operators: Google Business Profile, citations, local pages and reviews. Below roughly A$1,000, expect one channel — not full-service SEO.

Established SMB

A$1,500–A$5,000 / month

The mainstream Australian retainer band, averaging A$2,000–A$3,500. At local agency rates of A$100–A$140 an hour, a A$2,000 retainer typically buys 15–20 hours of actual work.

National & competitive

A$5,000–A$10,000+ / month

Competitive national niches — finance, insurance, national ecommerce — where content and link volumes are high and campaigns run on senior consultant hours. Enterprise programmes start above A$10,000.

Where we sit

We deliver from the Philippines, so your budget buys senior hours instead of Sydney office space — the same scope simply costs less to produce. We do not publish one-size packages because your market, your competitors and your site's condition genuinely change the workload. What we will do: scope your campaign, then give you an exact, itemised AUD figure before you commit — no "POA", no surprise extras. And if SEO is not the right spend for you yet, we will say so in the proposal. Cheap SEO that has to be undone later is the most expensive kind there is.

Who you'll actually work with

The offshore question, answered before you ask it

Plenty of Australian agencies quietly white-label offshore teams while advertising "nothing outsourced". We are the offshore team — and we would rather tell you exactly where and by whom the work is done.

Bright Forge SEO is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, founded by Ben Lowe on more than 15 years of SEO experience and a marketing degree from Metro London University. The specialists on your campaign are named on our about page — including SEO Manager Janin A. Cañonero and SEO Expert Jewe O. Manalo — and they are the same team behind our Philippines SEO services and clients across the UK, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. No hidden third layer. No junior handoffs after the sales call.

Buyer's guide

How to choose an SEO company in Australia

Whoever you shortlist — a Sydney agency, a freelance SEO consultant or an offshore team like ours — ask every SEO company the same six questions. The answers separate agencies from invoice factories.

  1. Ask for numbers, not logos. A wall of client logos proves sales ability. Search Console screenshots with dates prove SEO ability. Ours are published, per client, per market.
  2. Ask who actually does the work. Much of the Australian market quietly white-labels offshore delivery anyway. Pay for the delivery layer directly, or at least know you are paying for two.
  3. Treat guarantees as a red flag. Nobody controls Google. An honest agency forecasts ranges, reports misses and adjusts — a guaranteed-rankings agency hides both.
  4. Check what the reporting measures. If reports lead with rankings instead of enquiries and revenue, you will be paying for graphs, not growth.
  5. Read the contract terms. Twelve-month lock-ins protect agencies, not clients. Everything should be scoped and agreed in writing before money moves.
  6. If it's offshore, check the clock. Offshore teams built around US or European clients answer you overnight. Manila answers Sydney the same morning.

Local agency or SEO consultant

Typically A$2,000–A$3,500 a month for SMB scope, with agency rates of A$100–A$140 an hour and senior consultants at A$150–A$300. Face-to-face meetings and local networks. If your budget clears A$2,500 and you value the boardroom, it is a genuinely good option.

Budget offshore SEO

Cheap, but usually built for US or UK clients: replies arrive overnight, links come from templates, and content reads foreign to Australian buyers. The savings often get spent twice — once on the retainer, once on the cleanup.

The practical stuff

Your working day is our working day

Manila is UTC+8. Sydney and Melbourne are UTC+10 (UTC+11 in daylight saving). Brisbane is UTC+10 year-round. Perth is UTC+8 — exactly the same as us.

That overlap is rare in offshore SEO, and it changes how a campaign feels day to day: no waiting until tomorrow for answers, no 6am calls, and campaign conversations that happen while the question is still fresh.

A typical working day

  • 9:00 Sydney / 7:00 Manila — we are starting as your day gets going
  • 10:00 Brisbane / 8:00 Manila — Queensland never changes its clocks; always two hours
  • 11:00–17:00 AEST — full overlap for calls, questions and same-day turnarounds
  • Perth clients — identical business hours, zero time difference

Industries we serve

Specialist SEO for the markets Australians search hardest

Generic SEO produces generic results. These are the verticals where we run dedicated playbooks.

Trades & home services

Plumbers, electricians and builders in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth win or lose on suburb-level searches — local SEO plus service pages, done properly.

Real estate & property

One of Australia's biggest search categories: agencies, buyers agents and property platforms competing for suburb-by-suburb intent.

Finance & fintech

YMYL niches where Google demands demonstrable expertise — brokers, lenders and fintech SaaS need E-E-A-T built in, not bolted on.

Pet businesses

Australia has one of the world's highest pet-ownership rates — vets, groomers and pet ecommerce compete for high-intent searches every day.

Ecommerce

Where our published AU proof lives: Speediance Australia grew clicks 66% in six months against marketplaces and big-box competition.

Sport & fitness platforms

From grassroots sports SaaS to fitness equipment brands — audiences we already rank for in three markets.

Our 17 published case studies also cover bridal, leather goods, boiler spares, car auctions, self-storage, pest control and spa & beauty — if your niche is unusual, that is normal for us.

Across Australia

SEO for businesses in every major Australian city

SEO delivery is remote work — a Sydney agency does not rank you "from Sydney". What matters is understanding your city's market, competitors and buyers. We work with businesses in every state and territory.

Sydney

Australia's most competitive search results — finance, SaaS, ecommerce and professional services.

Melbourne

Retail, hospitality, ecommerce and professional services in Australia's second-biggest market.

Brisbane

Construction, trades and fast-growing Queensland brands riding the state's population boom.

Perth

Mining services, trades and local businesses — and our team works in exactly your timezone.

Adelaide

Manufacturing, wine and family-owned businesses across South Australia.

Gold Coast

Tourism, property and lifestyle brands competing for high-intent visitor searches.

Canberra

Consulting, B2B services and government-adjacent firms in the capital.

Newcastle

Engineering, industrial and service businesses across the Hunter region.

Not on the list? Campaigns can target Hobart, Darwin, Wollongong, the Sunshine Coast and regional Australia — plus New Zealand. Campaigns are scoped around your market and your competitors, wherever you are.

Australian SEO FAQs

Questions Australian businesses ask before working with us

How much does SEO cost in Australia?

Australian agency retainers typically run A$1,500 to A$5,000 a month for small and mid-sized businesses, with the market average around A$2,000 to A$3,500. Local SEO for a single-location business typically starts at A$400 to A$1,500 a month, while national campaigns in competitive niches reach A$5,000 to A$10,000 or more. We scope and quote each campaign individually in AUD — and because we deliver from the Philippines, more of that budget buys actual SEO hours rather than agency overheads.

How long does SEO take to work in Australia?

Expect early movement in impressions and long-tail rankings within 3 to 6 months, and meaningful traffic and lead growth over 6 to 12 months in competitive niches. Speediance Australia grew organic clicks 66% within six months, but that pace depends on your starting point, competition and site health. Anyone promising page-one rankings in 30 days is selling something other than SEO.

What is included in your monthly SEO services?

Every retainer includes senior strategy, technical SEO monitoring and fixes, on-page optimisation, content briefs or production in Australian English, AU-relevant link building and a plain-English monthly report with a call in AEST business hours. The exact mix shifts with your priorities — a migration month looks different from a content-push month — and every report lists what was done, what changed and what happens next.

Do you lock clients into long contracts?

Twelve-month lock-ins are widely — and rightly — distrusted in the Australian market. Our view is that an agency should keep clients through results, not paperwork: our published Google reviews include clients who have stayed for over 18 months and around three years. Scope, term and exit terms are agreed in writing before any campaign starts, and we will never make leaving harder than staying.

Can you guarantee number-one rankings on Google?

No — and you should walk away from anyone who says yes. Google’s results shift constantly and nobody outside Google controls them. Our own case studies say this explicitly: we publish real numbers and refuse to promise identical results to the next client. What we can commit to is senior work, transparent reporting and honest answers about what is and is not working.

Is SEO still worth it with AI Overviews and ChatGPT?

Yes — but the work has changed. Australians still start most buying journeys on Google, and AI answers draw on sites with clear entities, strong authority and answer-ready content. We treat AI search as a channel in its own right: Bright Forge publishes five dedicated AI-search (GEO) case studies, measured between August 2025 and January 2026 using GA4, Search Console and SE Ranking. Good SEO now earns you the blue links and the AI citations.

Do you actually understand the Australian market and google.com.au?

Yes — we rank businesses in it. Our Speediance Australia campaign grew organic clicks from 6,550 to 10,900 in six months in one of the country’s most competitive ecommerce niches, and we ran the coordinated New Zealand campaign alongside it. That means working with google.com.au results, Australian competitors and AU buyer language every week — not learning it on your invoice.

How does the time difference with the Philippines work?

It barely exists — and it is the main reason Australian clients choose us over other offshore options. Manila is two hours behind Sydney and Melbourne (three during daylight saving), always two behind Brisbane, and identical to Perth. Your 10am question is answered from our 8am desk, calls land in normal hours for both sides, and briefs sent in your morning come back the same working day.

Who does the work — do you outsource anything?

The people on our about page do the work: a Philippines-based team in Quezon City founded by Ben Lowe, with named specialists including SEO Manager Janin A. Cañonero and SEO Expert Jewe O. Manalo. We are the team other agencies quietly outsource to — we provide white label SEO fulfilment for agencies — so when you work with us directly there is no hidden third layer between your budget and the work.

How do you measure and report results?

We report monthly from GA4, Google Search Console and SE Ranking — the same sources our published case studies use — and tie the numbers to enquiries and revenue rather than vanity rankings. Every report covers what we did, what moved and the plan for next month, written in plain English. Report calls are booked in AEST business hours, not at midnight your time.

Will my content and links actually be Australian?

Yes. Content for Australian campaigns is written in Australian English — optimisation, not optimization — using AU buyer language, and edited by humans before delivery. For links we prioritise AU-relevant opportunities: Australian publications, industry directories, supplier and partner sites. Links from .com.au domains and Australian-focused sites help confirm to Google that your site belongs in Australian results.

Do you also cover New Zealand?

Yes. Our Speediance New Zealand campaign grew organic clicks 177% in six months — from 927 to 2,570 — alongside the Australian campaign. If you serve both markets we structure the work so AU and NZ grow together instead of cannibalising each other: separate market targeting, distinct content where demand differs, and shared authority where it helps both.
