Anonymised organic-search case study
How a garden-products supplier added 921 organic clicks from almost the same impression base
Organic clicks rose from 1,883 to 2,804. Impressions barely moved. Click-through rate rose from 3.29% to 4.83% and average position held. This is an efficiency case: more clicks from demand the site already reached.
Redacted Search Console evidence
Almost the same exposure, a much stronger click rate
The chart uses redacted Search Console totals. Impressions rose by only 827. Clicks rose by 921. That is why CTR is the headline, not a claim that the whole market grew.
The search problem
Seasonal garden search rewards the listing people actually choose
Mulch, soil and garden-product searches cluster around planting seasons and delivery questions. If the snippet is weak, the click goes to a merchant or a garden centre even when the site already ranks.
The public case does not name the supplier, the products or the URLs. It only shows the aggregate Search Console movement.
Reading the result properly
Position held while CTR did the commercial work
Clicks rose by 921. Impressions rose from 57,221 to 58,048. Average position moved from 9.6 to 9.4. CTR moved from 3.29% to 4.83%.
That pattern is consistent with a clearer search result, not a huge new query set. The next measure is whether those extra visits became orders.
- When impressions are flat, CTR and position tell you if the result itself got stronger.
- Seasonal product sites should not wait for market growth to explain a click lift.
- Search Console still cannot prove sales. Connect it to order and delivery data.

Evidence boundary
What this case study does and does not prove
This anonymised case study reports Google Search Console organic-search data for two equal 90-day periods. The client, property, pages and queries are withheld. It records visibility and clicks, not orders, delivery volume or revenue. Search Console cannot attribute the movement to a single action, and this result is not a guarantee.
